We used it briefly, it is very handy if you have a lot of random devices on your network and you need a system for classifying them without a client.

Hi all –
I’m actually curious what people who are using the NAC profiler think of
it? We’re considering getting one, should we stay with CCA, and have also
considered the product for something else (it’s an OEMed version of Beacon
I believe). Anyone have any opinions?

Chris,
I believe that Akron is using the NAC profiler. This device
detects game consoles, phones etc. and then can contact the NAC Manager to
put them in the appropriate role. However, I think the profiler is not
cheap.
