The bfu utility in general doesn't work well when installing on top of an old system such as one running Solaris 10. This is because bfu only updates the ON consolidation (OS/kernel + networking), and none of the other system components such as D-BUS, the desktop environment, X, etc... The safe way to do this is to first install a recent build of OpenSolaris such as SXDE at: http://www.opensolaris.org/os/downloads/ And bfu the Clearview archives on top of that. > I would really need to read from IPsec tunnel with DLPI since the > Raw-sockets cannot receive IP packets with any destination/protocol in > the header. > > My final target machine will be a Sparc/Sun Solaris 10, so may be \ > Clearview can work better in that enviroment? OpenSolaris is not Solaris 10, and the Clearview software under development is based on OpenSolaris. If you want to run an OS under development such as the one provided by Clearview, then running Solaris 10 is a mutually exclusive proposition. We'd welcome your trying out our software by ultimately running OpenSolaris. -Seb
