I don't understand this. How the linkmgmtd instance on one system be able to know the condition of another system that it can come up with a unique linkid that does not already exist on another system? Both cases, I think use dladm commands will be easier. But certainly, I think we need to investigate more to know whether Seb's concern about the timing between this upgrade script and linkmgmtd would cause any problem. Thanks - Cathy
