During the inception review at PSARC I recall that it was mentioned that vanity naming would be enabled by default. And the notes from inception reflect that this issue was discussed with respect to libdevinfo and friends but not whether the it was to be enabled by default. Your email suggests to me that vanity naming isn't going to be enabled by default, so Solaris people will still see eri0, eri1, etc, rather than net0, net1, correct ? Darren
