Hi Olivier,
The hss_port is the local *and* the remote port at the moment - so you can't
install the HSS on the same IP address as Homestead. I've raised an issue to
track changing this (https://github.com/Metaswitch/homestead/issues/76).
In the meantime, could you either:
* Install the HSS on a different box
* Edit /var/lib/homestead/homestead.conf to specify the HSS's port in
the ConnectPeer block at the end (e.g. "ConnectPeer = "1.2.3.4" { No_TLS;
No_SCTP; Port=5678; };").
Hope this helps,
Ellie

Subject: [Clearwater] Problem with a, external HSS configuration
Hello all,
I want to use my own HSS. Following the advice found, I added hss_host and
hss_port to config file
However it seems that HomeStead is using the given hss_port parameter as a
local port for its FreeDiameter stack (which conflicts because I have my HSS
already running on the same host at this port)
So is hss_port really the remote HSS port or is it the local one used by
HomeStead ? How to configure things properly ?
Thanks
Olivier DURECU
