Hi Ellie, thanks for getting back to me. I ended up reinstalling all nodes and now I am back up and working again. I kept the hostnames and IP Addresses the same on the new Bono before I did the reinstall and ralf was resolvable.
The weird thing was that somewhere the old IP Address of bono was cached even though I updated all the config files on all nodes and did the restart. Really odd. Lets hope it does not happen again ? Mike From: Eleanor Merry<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: ?Thursday?, ?July? ?17?, ?2014 ?10?:?43 To: Mike Kostersitz<mailto:[email protected]>, [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Hi Mike, Can the new Bono resolve ralf.mykeysoft.at, and is your Ralf node set up to accept connections from the new Bono node? Failing to connect to Ralf shouldn't cause the registration to fail however. Are there any other errors in the log file? If you rebuild bono I'd expect that you need to update the Bono DNS records (see https://github.com/Metaswitch/clearwater-docs/wiki/Clearwater-DNS-Usage#dns-records) to include the new Bono. You'll also need to ensure that the new Bono has the correct ports open (see https://github.com/Metaswitch/clearwater-docs/wiki/Clearwater-IP-Port-Usage#bono). You'll also need to make sure that the /etc/clearwater/config file on the Bono has the correct settings for the new Bono (e.g. is the local IP address correct)? Also, what have you set the home_domain value in /etc/clearwater/config to in the other nodes? If this refers to the old Bono then you will need to update this on each node (update /etc/clearwater/config, run "sudo service clearwater-infrastructure restart", and then restart the service "sudo monit restart <service>"). Hope this helps, Ellie -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Mike Kostersitz Sent: 16 July 2014 22:12 To: [email protected] Subject: [Clearwater] BONO Fails to connect to Ralf after re-installing Hi, first post from a N00B ? I had a 6 VM deployment running like a charm for a few weeks on my local network. I had to rebuild the Bono VM due to a disk failure of the host drive the VHD file was on. Install went well.
