Hi Schahzad,

SRVCC (or the Rel10+ version, eSRVCC) is a mechanism to allow seamless roaming
between the 3G and 4G networks. The idea is that the P-CSCF, acting as an
ATCF, anchors the media for the call no matter which network the call is on
(interacting with MSC/EPC as necessary).

This requires two bits of function - the ATCF functionality in the P-CSCF, and
SCC-AS functionality in the VoLTE TAS that handles the signalling interactions
with the 3G network.

Project Clearwater doesn't include either of these, but Metaswitch have a VoLTE
solution built on Clearwater that includes Metaswitch's Perimeta P-CSCF for
ATCF function, and our partner OpenCloud for their VoLTE TAS that performs the
SCC-AS role.

Let me know if you'd like to discuss further - SRVCC is a pretty complex area!

Subject: [Clearwater] ATCF/ATGW

Hi Everyone,

My quick Understanding of these functions is to transfer the call control
within the same ip domain/provider.

More of ATCF SRVCC shows that its mechanism to transfer a call from LTE to 3G
network (One example) within the same provider.

I am bit confused over here. The UE has an IP connectivity to Bono and if IP
changes the call will be dropped and in case of mobile ip It should be seamless
for BONO.

How come ATCF SRVCC ATGW fits in IMS domain and if it does, Does clear support
it?
