Hi Kevin,

Can you confirm that you have created the /log directory? This directory also
needs to be owned by the service (so /log should be owned by Sprout if you want
the Sprout logs to appear here).

When you undid the setting, did you remove the log_directory setting entirely
from the user_settings file? Just setting it to be blank won't be enough.

Also, can you check where the service thinks it's logging to - run 'ps -eaf |
grep <service>', and see what the value of --log-file is?

Thanks,

Ellie

Subject: Re: Changing Log location

Well this is a conundrum, I added to log_directory=/log to
/etc/clearwater/user_settings file and now I have lost logging completely.
When I restarted, the bono, sprout and homestead directories disappeared from
the /var/log directory, but didn't no show in /log. I un-did the setting and
restarted and still no logging. I even removed and then reinstalled sprout and
nothing. Any idea how to get my logs back?

Thanks
Kevin
