Hi Yangyang,

A failure of a Bono node will cause any registrations using the downed Bono to
be invalidated. The registered client will typically notice this, and
re-register itself. It can notice the registration loss in a number of
different ways, e.g. it could be polling the Bono, it could notice that their
TCP connection to Bono has gone down, or it could try to make a call and so
notice that it needs to re-register.

Any existing calls using the downed Bono are lost.

Ellie

Subject: [Clearwater] Redundancy for a Bono node

Hello,

I am yangyang.
We are preparing to have 2 bonos, a Sprout cluster within one site for
redundancy.

We found the answer
- "The failure of a Sprout node will affect any calls that are being set up,
but will not impact any existing calls and registrations."
at
http://www.mail-archive.com/clearwater%40lists.projectclearwater.org/msg00974.html

Can you tell us whether the failure of a Bono node will affect any existing
calls and registrations ?

Thank you and best regards,
Yangyang
