Hi John,

We don’t actually support this. The RFC suggests that on a TCP connection the
client should send a keep-alive as a double CRLF, and the server should respond
with a single CRLF.

I’ll update our supported RFCs page.

Subject: [Clearwater] SIP Outbound KeepAlives

Hi Clearwater Team,

I have a few questions on keep-alive support for SIP outbound (RFC 5626).

1. Does the Clearwater All-In-One Install support this out of the box ?
2. Does Clearwater send them to a Connected Application Server ?
3. What exactly does Clearwater send ? (Like in Binary - prob a silly question)

And in general how long do you reccommend an AS be connected to Sprout for
sending MESSAGE requests ? (Acting like a IPSMSC)

Regards,
John
