Hello, I have a manual install of bono/sprout/homestead/ibcf/dns being used as an interface between Voip UE’s and a PSTN, running on 5 VM’s. They are connected via a private virtual switch, and only the bono and ibcf nodes are connected to an external network interface for external sip signalling. This setup is working with no problems. However, I wanted to try and implement “multiple network support” to separate the internal management and traffic signalling. I followed the instructions on the readthedocs page, adding another external network interface to each node. All nodes can ping each other via this new interface (ip netns exec signalling ping 10.10.10.x). So now bono and ibcf have 3 network interfaces, however the bono and ibcf nodes do not stand up. Other nodes stand up OK. It is a bit confusing that the “manual install” page talks about having separate private_IP and public_IP interfaces, but then the “multiple network support” page talks about adding a second interface, when we already have a second interface. I assume this is to provide the security of a separate namespace? I am using 10.10.10.x for internal signalling, 192.168.10.x for internal management and acbd.xyz.co.nz for domain, and my public network side is 172.20.99.x.
The bono log files show the following failure point (cannot start port 5060)… 30-07-2015 04:56:00.334 UTC Verbose pjsip: udp0x1e17f70 SIP UDP transport started, published address is 10.10.10.10:5058 30-07-2015 04:56:00.334 UTC Verbose pjsip: tcplis:5058 SIP TCP listener ready for incoming connections at 10.10.10.10:5058 30-07-2015 04:56:00.334 UTC Status stack.cpp:373: Listening on port 5058 30-07-2015 04:56:00.334 UTC Verbose pjsip: udp0x218a550 SIP UDP transport started, published address is abcd.xyz.co.nz:5060 30-07-2015 04:56:00.335 UTC Error stack.cpp:343: Failed to start TCP transport for port 5060 (Invalid value or argument (PJ_EINVAL)) 30-07-2015 04:56:00.335 UTC Error pjsip: Assert failed: stack.cpp:707 status == 0 30-07-2015 04:56:00.334 UTC Error main.cpp:1645: Error initializing stack Invalid value or argument (PJ_EINVAL) Is it even possible for a bono node to use 3 network interfaces? (one for external SIP, one for internal management and one for internal signalling). Or do I just have a problem with my dns/network/iptables setup? Or Clearwater config file? (as follows…) Or do I need to specify management side of 192.168.10.x somewhere in the config file? home_domain=abcd.xyz.co.nz sprout_hostname=sprout.abcd.xyz.co.nz chronos_hostname=localhost:7253 hs_hostname-hs.abcd.xyz.co.nz:8888 hs_provisioning_hostname=hs.abcd.xyz.co.nz:8889 signalling_namespace=signalling signalling_dns_server=10.10.10.1 local_ip=10.10.10.10 public_id=172.20.99.233 public_hostname=abcd.xyz.co.nz Regards, Peter.
