Hi Alan, I've had a look at the code, and it seems we do not currently support the "unknown-param" element.
We aren't actively working on our subscription code at the moment. It would be fantastic if you had a chance to add support. https://github.com/Metaswitch/sprout/blob/dev/src/subscription.cpp would be a good place to start, and I'm happy to provide help and advice.
