Hi John, We haven’t yet found a good open source client designed for testing SMS flows through an IMS network. If there is one, I’d be glad to hear about it, and we could certainly put a link to it in our docs.
If I were looking to put something together to do that sort of testing, I would start by taking a look at SIPp<http://sipp.sourceforge.net/>. We currently use it in our labs to test Project Clearwater in a range of interesting call scenarios, and under load. I expect that you would be able to write some scenarios to drive SIP MESSAGE flows through the IMS core. If you want to have a play with SIPp, we have a SIPp chef recipe that you can spin up to get you started. See https://github.com/Metaswitch/chef for instructions for setting up Chef and using it to spin up nodes. Please let us know how you get on – we’d love to be able to point people at an SMS test framework to run alongside Project Clearwater. Hi Everyone, I've been wanting to test SMS and USSD over IMS but it seems there is no real free/open-source clients out there that's being maintained. The only one that can do SMS over IMS is still Boghe https://github.com/DoubangoTelecom/boghe. So my question is, does anyone know of a test client that I can use to test USSD over IMS ? akka USSI.
