Chris-

Sorry for the long delay, I will not be able to get a stack trace as
the problem was corrected on the HSS before I had a chance to get them.
However, I did narrow down the actual missing AVP that caused the crash.

It is a nested AVP,

Again this is in the MAA:

  AVP (612): SIP-Auth-Data-Item
    AVP: SIP-Auth-Data-Item
      AVP (613): SIP-Item-Number
      AVP (608): SIP-Authentication-Scheme
      AVP (635): SIP-Digest-Authenticate

If 608 is missing, homestead crashes. Hopefully that is enough info to
help get this corrected.

Thanks
Trey

Hi Trey,

I’m glad you managed to get to the bottom of this. I’d like to get this
issue fixed so that other people don’t hit this problem.

Do you know exactly which required parameter was missing in the MAA?

It would be great if you could get us a stack trace including debug
symbols. To do that, run `sudo apt-get install bono-dbg sprout-dbg` to
install Bono and Sprout debug symbols, then attempt to hit the crash
again.

Yours,

Chris

It appears this crashed is caused by a missing required parameter in the
MAA, specifically SIP-Number-Auth-Items. So this is more a note of a
bug in the parser of this type of diameter message.

Thanks,
Trey

Attached is the full startup and error, any ideas what may cause this?
I cannot attach a capture/core as it has private data in it.
