Hi community,

I am doing some research on NFV and I have been ‘playing’ around with
Clearwater for various deployment types, in particular using docker containers.
I have been able to successfully deploy and test (live-tests) the IMS using 2
of the three ways of deploying it (as indicated by the guidelines on Github
regarding AIO installations) , i.e., Compose and Manual turn up.

In this case I wanted to perform some stress testing on the deployment.
From the Docs
(http://clearwater.readthedocs.io/en/latest/Clearwater_stress_testing.html), I
see that the typical way is to deploy a stress node similar to the one of the
other typical nodes (i.e., sprout, bono, etc) when the installation is manual.
In this case it should have the appropriate sip-stress debian pkgs on it.

However, it seems that the stress tests have been set up/or possible for either
an automated (using chef) or a manual installation. Is this correct ?

Has anyone performed SIPp stress tests on the deployments I mentioned above (or
similar (like swarm, kubernetes), i.e., using containers) ?

If yes , can you please share some insights (or refer to others works) on the
procedure so that I can perform similar tests ?

I would really appreciate every kind of help.

Thank you in advance.

Besmir
