I should add that the comment field can contain long strings of numbers [hash code] which resist changing, these can originate from store bought CD's any individual comment can be changed 400 files with clean comment fields change & the changes show the problems start around 1000 files clearing the long comments seems to have helped the grouping field doesn't seem to have any limits
