im happy to explain it. what i mean is at a part where clementine is powering the speakers, let's add the ability for user's to have their smartphone music seamlessly copied to clementine's music library and start playing after the current song. GREAT FOR PARTIES
many free technologies exist allowing this feature to be implemented with minimal overhead, perhaps a few libraries at most.the same libraries would allow for 'pc' copies of clementine to integrate multiple libraries found on a local network into a seamless library. so yes, from a technology standpoint it would be no different than a shared fold, not that the user need be exposed to such. as for 'stream songs from clementine to all remotes' simply imagine each smartphone or tablet with clementine remote on them acting as a 'battery powered wifi speaker'. very minimal code is required for this as clementine remote already supports copying the music in this direction. all that is required is some code for playback and synchronization. a laptop and dozens of phones is all that's required for music at a party. as far as i can tell the only difference between copying then playing and stream is streaming starts playback before the transfer is 100%. only 'synchronized batter powered wifi speaker' playback might require streaming and even then its not mandatory and probably better for synchronization if transfers to all nodes are complete before playback starts.
