Hi, Two of my favorite playback modes are Shuffle or styles such Smart Playlists "Never Played".
Of course I also choose to play albums discretely as they were designed to be played (1,2,3,4,5 etc.) Hence, my problem. I might like to utilize the control of replay gain, but quite obviously one mode is no optimal for these different settings, unless I am missing something in the setup of my player controls. For this reason a propose that a setting that might choose the way Replay Gain works might depend on the playback mode that is chosen. I do not like the track levels of my albums in normal playback to be all the same. The producer chose levels from track to track for a reason. But playing back tracks randomly is a different story. If the user has some tracks that have extremely different levels, a sudden blast or or low volume does not serve the listener very well. So this is why I would like to propose a replay gain control that might kick in whenever a random playback mode is chosen but might work in album mode under normal playback conditions (when albums or album folders are chosen.) Perhaps there is some rational way to do this? Thanks. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Clementine Music Player" group.
