Hi, I see this thread is already three years old, but still no Musepack sv8 support has been added in Clementine. I thank the coders for all the hard work they put in creating this beautiful program, but I also have to completely agree with Knaicm: Musepack may not be a popular codec, but it is considered by many expert the best lossy one available. Its sv8 revision dates back to 2009, and it is still a work of art: at high bitrates is completely transparent and almost impossible to distinguish from the lossless ones, even on very good systems, while keeping files half the size of FLAC. I think that, no matter its popularity, it would be important that the best lossy codec would be included in this music player: many audiophiles like me have chosen Musepack as their preferred codec for their music collection and they would love to be able to use Celementine player on Mac and Linux as their default player. I hope this may be fixed soon, thank you in advance and kind regards!
