This may be due to misunderstanding the concept of playlist in clementine but I load a playlist, it shows in the playlist section. Up to here everything is fine. But then I go to my library and play songs from a folder and the playlist gets overwritten so when I go back to playlists, the playlist no longer contains the original songs but they are replaced by the songs played from the folder. I think there is some confusion and it seems clementine confuses play queue as a list of songs to be played upon hitting play button and playlist as a fixed list of songs (e.g. m3u file). So I want to import/open a fixed list of songs that will not be overwritten each time I queue some songs to play. An interesting thing is that I can make more playlists, I can save them directly in clementine but if I forget to switch playlist, it will get overwritten upon playing anything from the library. Effectively, Clementine does not have option to have playlist (in the standard meaning suggested above) but it can have multiple queues...
Is there a way around this behaviour and use static playlists as normal in other programs? What is the purpose of multiple queues (it is incredibly confusing)? Is there any way to prevent replacing the current play queue and instead create a new one when starting songs from the library? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Clementine Music Player" group.
