I was facing the same issues. To get it working, you will need to give 
permission to Clementine.

Please go to the 'Security & Privacy' panel (can be accessed using 
Spotlight). Then under Privacy > Accessibility, tick 'Clementine'. This 
gives permission to Clementine to work on Mojave.
