Still having the same problem at the end of 2018 with Clementine. Files are just missing from the library, even after a full rescan, even after doing sqlite3 clementine.db 'update songs set unavailable=0'
The above solves SOME of it, but even after doing that, certain files just don't show up in the library, although they can be found in the file view and added to the playlist just fine. This is a long-standing problem which the Clementine developer's can't seem to solve, or don't care about.
