One of the best improvements that could be immediately made to Clementine is for it to do a better job of saving its configuration. I've asked for the column configuration, size and layout to also be saved between sessions. This ripping issue is another case where the settings should be preserved. I'd add both of these as options to the preferences menu.
I haven't used Clementine to rip a CD, but are the options on the Transcoding tab in preferences not being saved/used?
