Thank you both for your suggestions. The first one (opening the folder in Dolphin prior to starting Clementine) worked, and the second (linking a music folder tto the hard disk) worked only after the hdd was mounted. I found neither to be totally satisfactory, as they required a manual intervention before starting Clementine, but they gave me the idea to automatically mount the second hdd on boot up. I found that can be done in the Additional Partition Options of disk manager. Having done that, my music library is now available on every Clementine session.
