I'm not on a Windows machine that has Clementine installed at the moment so
I can't give you step by step instructions to question #1. Have you mapped
the shared drive on your Clementine PC?

Regarding question #2, most definitely this will work. I have all of our
music on a FreeNAS box and stream it to both Windows and Linux machines. I
have set up a network share on the NAS and mapped that on the Clementine PC.
