Whoaaa. This is close, but no cigar. I add the PL1 as comment field in all the songs in my current playlist. Create this new smart playlist with search term of the comment field=PL1 gets me a list of all the songs marked; Next option now is put songs in random order or sort by several choices. then create new playlist "playlist7"; yep, in random order as I specified as only choice. So now I try this, save playlist7, clear all songs, then go to original playlist "classical", mark each one, add to the playlist7 Now I finally have, I think, what I want. Oops, nope. Songs don't go to end of list for replay as I hoped.
This is way too hard and extremely non-intuitive. Clementine has a lot of features I like, but need to look for another option for my wife to use. Soapbox: Being a retired Unix/Linux/OS2 (my downfall) programmer, I liked how they used to (in old days) put all options/configurations in files instead of hiding them in objects and runtime memory. Soapbox off. I give up, Thanks for your help, good to know about the comments field. Jimmy W.
