The problem is that tracks are listed twice. There is one track but it is listed twice. Yes Clementine does automatically update my library, but it lists some tracks twice. So it appears to me that Clementine is not detecting changed or new tracks accurately for some reason. The only way I have been able to remedy this is to temporarily remove every album folder that has double-listed tracks from my Library, wait until Clementine updates my library collection without these albums, then paste those albums back into my Library. Then Clementine detects them and lists each track only once.
