There is a github issue related to stuck songs. It seems to have something
to do with replayGain.

Turning off replayGain or setting the buffer size to 0 seems to be at least
a partial fix. I believe the true fix is in, but not yet released as a new
version.

Unfortunately, replayGain has another problem where the "pre-amp" is
applied to all tracks, regardless of whether they have replayGain or not.
Which means that replayGain tracks (which are normalized to a lower dB
level) will sound extra quiet:

Slightly off-topic, but I've been seeing a lot of instances where
clementine loses its connection to pulseaudio, and stops making sounds,
even though the play bar is moving - and/or locks up completely. Very much
a bummer, since I basically leave it running 24/7 on my headless media
server, and control it through the android app.
