The item Index should always be the number of tracks and should always be in ascending order i.e. 01 to 25, or 01 to 50 etc. So if I sort by arrist, the artists would be listed alphabeticall and the Item Index will still be 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 etc. In otherwords, the Item Index never changes, but the position of the tracks will change accoridng their position on the lists, whether by sorting, or being moved up or down the list.
