Hello, I'm new to this group and found no posts about ipv6 vs ipv4 here...
There is an app for Android, Clementine Remote. My Clementine player is running on Debian 10.4, Clementine 1.3.1+git609-g623a53681+dfsg-1. In the first try, Clementine Remote is complaining about not getting response from my computer. In the logs I'm seeing it is trying to connect to IPv4 port 5500. Netstat is showing Clementine listens only IPv6-port 5500. How come? My wifi is ZTE usb device, and I'm not seeing any IPv6-options there. If I put and IPv6-address for the Remote to connect, I'm not seeing anything in the logs, so IPv6 seems to be not available in my wifi. I was able to make it work using # socat TCP4-LISTEN:5500 TCP6:localhost:5500 to redirect IPv4 to IPv6. My question is, is it possible to tell clementine to listen in IPv4-port ? I thing this should be default behavior. Or is the Debian version flawed, and should try compile one for myself? I'd rather stick to the package maintainer's version. -- Teemu Järvinen -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Clementine Music Player" group.
