I also find that to be true, the random isn't the right kind of random The solution is to shuffle the playlist & play sequentially I sometimes shuffle playlists of a few 1000 songs, many times the 1st shuffle leaves songs from the same artist in pairs This method does eliminate having the same song come up multiple times
