My Hero! Strawberry works perfectly on Apple Silicon (i have some warnings about Rosetta but with some free time i think is possible compile the dmg for apple silicon).

You might try strawberry. It is a branch off clementine and appears to be currently maintained. Clementine, for me, has had several problems - some affecting the stability of the entire PC. The switch to strawberry appears to have cured this.
