Hi Fabian,
You can vote for issues as you already did. If an issue shows no progress you
can start a discussion on the mailing list and try to find out why. I'm neither
assigned to the issue nor particularly competent in this matter. I'n not sure
where the bug is, following the description the version number is updated,
maybe this shouldn't be allowed as the implementation should know to ehich
versions it is compatible, I don't see what this setting is supposed to be good
for.
