JIRA events are sent to this list, but the subject lines are the JIRA issue titles, so it's hard to follow what's happening with a quick glance. I'm not saying that too much discussion is happening in JIRA - I haven't really checked, but considering the relatively low number of architecture and design discussions that happen directly on this list, I assume some are happening there. As to what should be there and what should be here, there are no hard rules IMO...discussions that are very specific to an issue are probably good to have in JIRA, but as soon as it's about general arch/design or when community input is desired I'd move the discussions here. -Bertrand
