I even have a case for using the 'boot' option - now that I'm using linux32 to run the getties on my 32-bit ppc userspace, I've lost the ability to chroot to multilib. Fortunately, I had a multilib which I'd prepared earlier (last year) that worked except for yaboot. Of course, my path through yaboot in the temporary system won't help you people who build from osx. I took a look at the 'lfs-from-osx' hint for that, but it was a bit scary.
