Has anyone ever tried building the entire temporary system on the build-host (coreutils, diffutils ...) with a cross-toolchain rather than building it for the target system? This would be useful, for example, if your build host is a very fast machine, but your target machine is very slow. Does anyone know of reasons it couldn't be made to work?
