Thanks for verifying that. A note should probably be added to
coreutils stating that the append-only test will fail on non-ext
partitions since the test uses chattr which only works on ext
partitions. I don't know how many people using CLFS use file systems
other than ext2/3, but I, for one, always use reiser and I would guess
that there are at least a few people who use XFS or JFS and the like.

We'll add that to the filesystem page on the wiki. Because the book only
recommends ext2 or ext3.
