hello everybody,
yeah u are right.. util -linux-ng-2.14 did not
install properly. i was building util linux as given
in chapter 10. when i typed
make
the error was uuid/uuid.h no such file or directory.
i copied the folder uuid from /usr/include of redhat4
and put it into utl-linux-ng-2.14 source folder. then
i typed make
the error was blkid no such file or directory.
i copied the folder blkid from /usr/share of redhat4
and put it into utl-linux-ng-2.14 source folder. then
i typed
make
make worked!
HOWEVER........
