No usb devices plugged in?

Does the kernel have support for your usb host controller?

If I compile libusb-0.x then things work as expected (and libusb-1 works on a 
different, x86 machine), it seems to be libusb-1 (or the compatibility wrapper 
for libusb-1) that is the issue..
