Sorry about that, I've updated the patch for Iproute2-2.6.38, the
patch is identical just renamed. If you find any more problems with
the CLFS please email the dev mailing list and / or open a ticket.

I was able to find the iproute2-2.6.37-libdir-1.patch. If I can't
get the
updated patch before my build, I will just update the patch for
2.6.38. Or
is the 2.6.37 usable for 2.6.38?
I don't know if the 2.6.37 patch is usable for 2.6.38, but iproute
version 2.6.37 should work fine for you, then you'll know the patch
will do what it's supposed to do. The book instructions for iproute
don't seem to have changed with the version number bump.
You can grab the 2.6.37 version of iproute from:
http://devresources.linux-foundation.org/dev/iproute2/download/iproute2-2.6.37.tar.bz2
md5sum should be: 9774ff9d74ebd301bf56bd8d74473786
size should be: 380 kB
(these are pulled from the book before the update to version 2.6.38)

Andrew
