I am building CLFS Embedded for i386 from the 20070205 SVN (latest as of
today). I am in section 7.4, the final system install of busybox. The
make command finished without issue, but when I do the "make install", I
get the following error:
$ make ARCH=i386 PREFIX="${CLFS}" install
applets/applets.c:1: error: CPU you selected does not support x86-64
instruction set
applets/applets.c:1: error: CPU you selected does not support x86-64
instruction set
applets/applets.c:1: error: -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2 is not between
4 and 12
make[1]: *** [applets/applets.o] Error 1
make: *** [applets] Error 2
(That is the complete error message). I am building from Debian Etch
for x86_64. Here are my environment settings, just to be sure:

Does anyone have any idea what is going on here? I tried this with and
without an extra patch from the busybox website
(busybox-1.4.1-binhex.patch) and got the same behavior. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.
