This has been exclude from
clfs 1.1.0-rc1-x86 7.10. Linux-2.6.24.7
Anyone know why? Was it not successful?
What is the alternative now?

You don't need the keymap built into the kernel, kbd handles all those functions, without modifying the kernel.
