So it seems the host needs gmp, mpfr and mpc headers now. I noticed an issue where I had to also include zlib headers. This is something new with gcc 4.8.1. I never encountered it with gcc 4.7.x.
Possibly that these were optional in systems before 4.8x, now compulsory?
