Hi, Mentor Will speaking. (I don't know if I've written in before -- welcome to Apache, everybody).
Wouldn't it be confusing to have two sites (old and new)? I really hate that when googling for software. Why not just redirect the old site to the new? Or possibly just redirect the index page, then have a link on the Apache site "for older documentation and releases, visit our old site" and have a link to a hidden page at sf. Just my two cents.
