In kernel mode, another way to do this, is to name a LOT of devices, including some that don't yet exist. I assume the new mininet interfaces have a regular name framework? -- like "mininet0", "mininet1", ...? I can't easily find this information online. You could then say:
FromDevice(mininet0, ALLOW_NONEXISTENT true) -> .. FromDevice(mininet1, ALLOW_NONEXISTENT true) -> .. FromDevice(mininet2, ALLOW_NONEXISTENT true) -> ..
