When there's only one statement in the lambda statement, it can be replaced 
with expression lambda:
Suggestion:

                SwingUtilities.invokeAndWait(() ->
                        currentFocusOwner = jFrame.getFocusOwner());

Just like you did for `createGUI()`.

This also applies to `jFrame.dispose()` statement.
