We are still working on the JDatePicker [1] component and it is making
good progress, although it is not yet ready.
The process overhead of a JEP is significant, and even though DatePicker
is a significant piece of work,
in this case we've been given the OK to implement it as an RFE, which
will give us more control over the timing as well as the process.
We will be resubmitting it as an RFE in JBS instead of the current JEP
issue.

datepicker-preview branch of the JDK sandbox repo [2]
