Font2DTest does not ensure that the initially displayed is dialog, despite it being the initial menu selection. This calls setUseFamilyAndStyle() to ensure that.
There's also problem with the initial display of fonts selected by full name .. since the actual name in the menu is Dialog.plain but the code sets Dialog to be the selected entry .. One other minor annoyance is that when selecting a new font family in the family + subfamily menu that menu item 0 is the default.
