Costs
and Economic Potential of Carbon Capture and Storage
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has just released a major technical and economic assessment of the potential of carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS), also know as geosequestration. The potential for CCS is found to be large given appropriate regulatory and market conditions. This article draws directly on the findings of the report with respect to the costs and economic potential of CCS. Ø
