Dear Colleagues: The United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) is pleased to announce their Climate Change Working Group's (CCWG) side event at the UNFCCC Eleventh Conference of Parties (COP 11), and first Meeting of the Parties (MOP 1) in Montreal, Canada. We invite all those interested in post-Kyoto policy and the role of the finance sector to attend. **The Future of Climate Policy: The Financial Sector Perspective** Event details: Monday, December 5th Palais des Congrès de Montréal Room: Mackenzie River 1:00 p.m - 3:00 p.m The side event will mark the official launch of the CCWG's latest publication 'The Future of Climate Policy: The Financial Sector Perspective.' The event will address the importance of future policies, and the need for certainty about the post-Kyoto framework in order to incite the urgently needed mid- to long-term investments in a low-carbon economy. The event will also make recommendations on how international climate policy should develop up to 2012 and beyond.
